Olympic swimmer Scott Miller has been arrested at his Sydney residence about an alleged massive scale ice syndicate involving $2million of ice concealed in candles.
Miller, 45, was one of two men arrested by NSW Law enforcement about 6am on Tuesday early morning, with police storming his waterfront Rozelle device in the city’s interior west.
A 47-12 months-old alleged affiliate was also arrested at Balmain. A small business address in Bankstown was also raided.
Both adult males have been taken to Newtown Law enforcement Station in the city’s interior west. Fees are still to be laid.
Detective Superintendent John Watson said police will allege the drug syndicate was scheduling to distribute candles laced with meth to regional towns throughout New South Wales, especially Albury, on the Victorian border.
‘For all intents and applications the candles appeared like ordinary candles – but they had been laced with dying and misery,’ stated Det. Supt. Watson, the Medicines and Firearms Squad commander.
