The weekend is practically below, and that means a fresh new grip of sneaker drops is on us. This week, two pairs stand out higher than the relaxation. Unsurprisingly, both of those are collaborations. A little bit more shocking? Both occur to us by way of the City of Gentle. (That’s Paris, y’all.) The first will come via the French label Casablanca and New Stability, although the second is courtesy of the ongoing partnership involving Ronnie Fieg’s Kith and Nike.
This is just not the initial time either of these squads have reamed up, either. Final 12 months, Casablanca and New Balance launched a duo of sneakers to considerably fanfare—two usually takes New Balance’s new-old 327, to be exact. The runner is only a calendar year previous, but it appears like something straight out of the 1970s. We necessarily mean that in the finest way: it’s got a retro silhouette with a nubby rubber sole and a chunky heel that is topped off with an oversized symbol on the higher.
This time all over, Casablanca designer Charaf Tajer has remixed that very same silhouette (alongside a more recent style, the 237) in a equivalent fashion. Both sneakers get dressed up in the French label’s jacquard monogram, with a perforated higher and delicate trim details in smooth bubblegum pink and shiny kelly eco-friendly rounding out the structure. The duo of kicks is set to drop by way of the Casablanca site on February 27.
The Paris-impressed collaboration amongst Kith and Nike isn’t fairly as colorful, but it’s about as covetable. This sneaker celebrates the grand opening of the most recent department of Fieg’s however-increasing streetwear empire, in—you guessed it—Paris. Accordingly, the beloved (and quintessentially New York) Air Pressure 1 borrows the colours of France’s flag. A little Nike Swoosh on the upper receives stitched in blue and crimson, and the French colors fill out other parts of the mainly white silhouette. There is also a “Kith Air” monogram that sits on the back again heel. The only way to snatch this one is by going to the new store immediately, but it is protected to say you will see these—and each of the Casablanca kicks, too—pop up on the aftermarket with exorbitant charges in the weeks to follow. Bon chance!
